Geist
A new restaurant found on the very edge of Historic Germantown, Geist took over what used to be a century old blacksmith shop. It's a historic building featuring renovations you won't be able to believe until you see it. The dining room has been fully furnished with pieces from local artisans.
Geist offers a great spot for those looking to enjoy the outdoors in the summer. The courtyard and garden even feature an outdoor stove. Inside the restaurant, you will find a chic bar and dining room that has been renovated to include charm from a century ago.
The menu features several great items including confit chicken, bistro steak, braised pork and much more. You'll find several great beers, wines, and cocktails on the beverage menu, as well.
The restaurant is open from 5:30pm to 12am, Wednesday through Friday, from 2pm to 12am on Saturday and from 11am to 6pm on Sunday. They are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Folk
The second restaurant for the owners of Rolf and Daughters, Folk has been anticipated by many residents since it's' inception. The restaurant is found in McFerrin Park and offers a simple design with plenty to offer. It's a pizzeria offering a rather unique menu. You'll find fermented potato pizza pies, beef fillet Americanne and many other options on the menu.
The drink menu at Folk offers several beer choices and a number of unique cocktails. They also offer an extensive wine list to pair with some of the amazing dishes on their menu.
Folk is open from 5pm to 10pm, seven days a week.
Flamingo Cocktail Club
A new hot cocktail bar found in the Wedgewood Houston neighborhood, the Flamingo Cocktail Club offers plenty to get excited about. It's located in the same building as the Falcon Coffee Bar, which is also a new addition to the neighborhood.
The building used to be a church, which has now become a bit of a superhero; it's a coffee shop by day and a cocktail lounge by night. The club offers plenty of space for dancing and offers a VIP bar on the upper level. The club also has a no phones inside rule but does allow the use of phones on the outside deck.
This swanky hangout offers several great cocktails on the menu. They are open from 7pm to 3am, Tuesday through Sunday and offer a great spot to hang out in the Wedgewood Houston neighborhood.
The coffee shop offers an extensive coffee menu, along with a plant-based food menu. Falcon Coffee is open from 7am to 7pm, Monday through Friday and from 9am to 7pm on Saturday and Sunday.
